Sunderby Hospital is being modernized and expanded
Sunderby Hospital just outside Luleå is being modernized and expanded. Two properties are added, including a brand new emergency care unit of 12,000 m2 where new facilities for X-rays, emergency department, sterile handling and intensive care are housed.
The redevelopment project started in May 2018 and everything will be ready by 2022. The general contractor for the project is Peab Bygg.
Sunderby Hospital is an excellent application example of the special range of medical doors that Thermod can offer. During the construction period, we have delivered a large number of hygiene doors but also X-ray doors and hermetic doors both with and without glass.
